COVID-19 Preventative Measures

Given the health and safety risks, COVID-19 presents new and unique challenges. As part of our commitment to the health and welfare of our guests, employees, and larger community, we are continuing to implement preventative measures aligned with the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local health agencies.

We strongly urge you to take the necessary precautions to protect yourself and as the situation evolves, we encourage everyone to get the latest updates on COVID-19.

We are also providing a list of resources listed at the bottom of this page. For your convenience—please check with your relevant local authority if it’s not featured below. Please also regularly check the advisories relevant to you for updates.

At Florida Villas and Homes, our employees and cleaning partners are committed to an enhanced cleaning and disinfection procedure that follows the guidelines for the best practices from the agencies listed above and we strictly follow the SAFEHOME Vacation Rental Housekeeping Professional (VRHP) and Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) Cleaning Guidelines for COVID-19.

The guidelines focus on thoroughly cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms and kitchens, disinfecting hard surfaces, sanitizing soft surfaces, and deep cleaning high-touch areas such as light switches, tabletops, appliances, handrails, electronics, remote controls, knobs, and door handles.

We have increased the turnover time between stays to account for the enhanced cleaning requirements and the safety of the cleaning team.

We are aware the COVID-19 outbreak is of great concern and importance to travelers. To give guests more confidence to book, we have relaxed our cancelation policy. The non-refundable policy remains effective, however, we are allowing a credit for the same amount for a future stay within the next 12-months.

If you book your reservation and the area you are arriving from becomes a highly-infected area, as defined by the Governor, during your confirmed travel dates, you must change your reservation to a minimum stay of at least 14-nights and subject to ordered 14-day quarantine rules upon arrival following CDC guidelines, or you will not be permitted to check-in. Alternatively, you may re-book your stay, within 12-months from the original arrival date. A credit in the amount paid will be credited toward a future stay. Regular reservation policies will be applied toward your future stay.

- Please check with city, county jurisdictions and Florida State orders, before your arrival for prohibitions. Guidance of local restrictions including local closures, curfews, and other related local information can be found here: LOCAL INFORMATION

- Any person coming from a highly infected area, as defined per the Governor's guidelines, must reserve a minimum stay of at least 14-nights and subject to ordered 14-day quarantine rules upon arrival following CDC guidelines.

- At this time, Elite Vacation Homes may not be used for events or group gatherings that exceed maximum occupancy. Only guests whose names are on the reservation are authorized to stay in the home. Any guest having events or group gatherings in the home or exceeding the numbers of authorized guests will be immediately evicted without refund.

The safety of our homeowners, customers and employees is our highest priority. For the latest updates on COVID-19, preventative measures to take, and steps to avoid contracting the virus, please find below pertinent links to the most up-to-date information on this health emergency.
